Climate & Beaches
Climate
Jamaica has a tropical climate with warm temperatures ranging from 77 to 82 degrees F. The rainy season is May to November, and hurricane season runs from June to November.
Beaches
Treasure Beach has four public beaches and a few smaller coves with warm Caribbean waters. The beaches are great for swimming and body surfing, and there are sections of the coast that also have good snorkeling. Even better, Treasure Beach is less traveled than other spots in Jamaica so you might just get a beach to yourself, or maybe share it with a friendly local over a cold drink.
Activities & Attractions
Activities
Although Treasure Beach is more laid back than some of the more tourist-centered destinations in Jamaica, there’s plenty to do nearby. Besides exploring the secluded beaches and coves, take a rope swing into the YS Waterfalls, comprised of eight cascading falls that pool into a shallow pond. Or, take an excursion through farm lands filled with coffee and bananas to Bob Marley’s birthplace. The radioactive Milk River Bath supposedly has healing properties and provides great relief from minor aches and pains for a romantic and rejuvenating excursion. Or, just lie low at the beach and unwind.
