Destination Weddings Sales Specialist – Independent Contractor
Overview:
Destination Weddings Travel Inc. (DWT) is the leader in destination weddings and romance travel from the USA and Canada. Over the past decade, we have assisted over 30,000 couples in planning their dream destination weddings and helped more than a half million guests to attend these celebrations. DWT is a top producer of weddings for hundreds of resorts throughout Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
We are seeking self-motivated sales professionals with a talent and passion for consultative selling. You will be focused on engaging with couples who have expressed interest in receiving expert advice and planning assistance from a destination wedding specialist. You will recommend resorts based on the couples’ needs/preferences and provide price quotes/proposals with the goal of booking their weddings and reserving the accommodations for their groups. Upon securing a signed group room block agreement, you will pass the couple along to a dedicated service specialist who will coordinate the guests’ travel and manage the group through its completion, ensuring that the event goes smoothly and the clients are satisfied.
Sales Agent Responsibilities:
- Respond to couples who have completed a profile form requesting planning assistance via our website.
- Conduct calls with clients to understand their wedding requirements, preferences, budgets and travel needs.
- Recommend destinations, resorts and wedding packages that best fit clients' needs.
- Provide price quotes, resort info, and group room block proposals to facilitate clients’ decisions.
- Act as liaison between couples and on-site wedding coordinators for date availability and package selection.
- Secure signed group agreements, reserve weddings and room blocks.
- Ensure couples understand terms and obligations set forth in their group agreements
- Coordinate with Service Specialist to relay important info and ensure a seamless hand off
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, phone calls and meetings.
- Attend periodic training webinars on new products, partners, systems and processes.
Requirements:

Marketing Coordinator
Destination Weddings Travel Group is looking for a rockstar to join their dynamic Marketing Department as a Marketing Coordinator.
The Marketing Coordinator is an integral member of the team and reports to the Senior Marketing Manager. This position is responsible for the implementation of our social media and blog strategies as well as the fulfillment of hotel partnership agreements in regards to advertising placements.
This role supports the marketing department and company in its rapid growth by proactively curating unique and cutting edge marketing campaigns and delivering results on those efforts. (S)he will also assist in other day-to-day activities as deemed necessary. The ideal candidate will be extremely organized, detail-oriented and self-motivated.
Position Responsibilities:
- Create and implement social media strategy and manage social media communications on a daily basis to position Destination Weddings Travel Group/All Inclusive Outlet as an industry thought leader across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest and LinkedIn
- Assist in content curation and publishing of blog posts with the goal of increasing organic and referral traffic to the website
- Fulfill co-operative partnership marketing agreements via digital placements such as website updates, social media posts, digital publication advertisements and more
- Ensure all hotel partners are represented and advertised based on their branding guidelines in an accurate and positive light
- Establish and maintain professional relationships with all hotel partners and applicable vendors
- Assist in the publishing of our bi-annual digital magazine
- Create strategies to gain exposure and explore new business opportunities
- Provide ongoing reporting of campaign performance and traffic trends
- Participate in team execution of marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives
- Manage a cross platform communications calendar of defined tactics
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and digital trends
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or related field
- 0-2 years’ experience in a related field
- Familiarity with the latest marketing trends, best practices and methodologies
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
- Ability to write, edit and proofread at a high level (grammar police welcome!)
- Previous experience with content development and performance measurement
- Proficiency in all social media and blog platforms (familiarity with WordPress is a plus) as well as Microsoft Office and Google Docs
- Interest in travel and /or wedding related industry, with a strong desire to learn
- Strong work ethic and ability to problem solve and excel in a fast-paced work environment
- A positive attitude and desire to learn quickly while contributing to an overall team effort is vital
- Ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks/projects while meeting established deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as an integral part of a team
