Climate
The Fijian Islands have a warm tropical climate. Temperatures average from 71 to 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter months, and range from 71 to 91 degrees F in the summer. There are occasional rain showers in the winter months.
Beaches
The gray-sand shores of Savusavu allow visitors to sunbathe, swim and even snorkel. The nearby Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort is said to have the best beach in the surrounding area, where divers have access to some of the world’s most spectacular land and seascapes.

Activities
Some of the world’s most spectacular reefs are just a short distance from the Jean-Michel Cousteau Diving Centre in Savusavu, so snorkeling and scuba diving will be colorful and memorable. With its large, modern marina, Savusavu also offers yachting, fishing, and boat trips throughout the surrounding bays. If you prefer to stay on land, the island is home to lush green hills which are perfect for hiking and biking. In town, there are a number of quaint open markets to explore where you can shop for handmade crafts.
