Riviera Nayarit has a mild tropical climate with an average temperature of 77 degrees Fahrenheit. In the summer, the average temperature is in the high 90's F. Rain season comes in June and last until November.
Beaches
Riviera Nayarit has miles of beaches running along the Pacific, and some are still unexplored. Though there are a number of great surfing spots, try Las Islitas or El Anclote for lessons. Matanchen Bay is known for great swimming and sailing.

Aside from its beaches, Riviera Nayarit has marketplaces, shops and plenty of eco-excursions. Given the prolific marine life in the area, divers can easily experience the many reefs, filled with turtles, swordfish and manta rays. Or, get up close to humpback whales in their natural habitat with a cruise or guided tour. On land, try zip lining through the nearby jungle or explore the many local surf villages.

At night, Riviera Nayarit has a few nightclubs and beachside bars to keep you entertained.
