You can expect plenty of snow throughout Quebec, so dress warmly. In spring and summer, a light sweater or coat sometimes comes in handy on cool evenings. Québec is a walking city, so comfortable shoes (and layers) are a must.
Beaches
Though not particularly known for their beaches, there are a few if you’re looking to visit in the summer. Located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, the Iles-de-la-Madeleine is a great spot for kite surfing and windsurfing with white sand beaches.

On December 21st of every year, Quebec hosts a City Lights Festival to celebrate the winter solstice. Held in the heart of old Quebec, the festival is a great way to see the city lit up and to do some holiday shopping. As a walking city, a great way to experience Quebec is on a foot tour, taking in the fortified walls and many gardens of the city.
Nightlife
Quebec has plenty to offer visitors in terms of nightlife. Whether you want to go bar hopping, clubbing, hear some live music or take in a quiet night in a restaurant or on a boat river cruise, there are plenty of options to enjoy.
