Playa Mariposa is a popular local beach with clear and warm reef waters, perfect for starfish spotting. Minitas is another beach option, with private cabanas for rental and plenty of water activities.

Other popular activities include diving and snorkeling through the crystal clear reef water and riverboat trips along the Rio Chavon for waterfall and wildlife spotting. On land, Altos de Chavon is a must-see old-world village with a number of nearby shopping centers.
