Language
Spanish is the official language of Cuba; however, there are several other languages spoken across the island.
Currency and Tipping
Cuba has two official currencies: the Cuban convertible peso (CUC) and the national peso. Transactions almost always take place in CUC.
Climate & Beaches
Climate
Visitors can enjoy Cuba all year round with its sub-tropical climate. The rainy season is from May to October and from August to October is the dry season. Between January and April, the weather is cooler with less rainfall.
Beaches
Playa Esmeralda and Guardalavaca Beach are just two of the popular white-sand beaches in Holguin. Both are crescent shaped and surrounded by lush greenery and spectacular dive sites for guests to explore. Located right on Guardalavaca Beach are discos and karaoke clubs welcoming guests with open arms. A short ride away is Cuba’s second largest city, Santiago de Cuba, where guests will find the Tropicana Santiago night club for their evening entertainment.
