Language
Spanish is the official language of Cuba; however, there are several other languages spoken across the island.
Currency and Tipping
Cuba has two official currencies: the Cuban convertible peso (CUC) and the national peso. Transactions almost always take place in CUC.
Climate & Beaches
Climate
Visitors can enjoy Cuba all year round with its sub-tropical climate. The rainy season is from May to October and from August to October is the dry season. Between January and April, the weather is cooler with less rainfall.
Beaches
Just outside Havana are excellent beaches such as Santa Maria del Mar and Playa del Este, which boasts more than nine miles of fine white sand. Off the east coast visitors can go fishing and enjoy a variety of water sports.
