Prior to a Cozumel wedding, couples must obtain a valid passport and an original and copy of birth certificates annotated and translated by an authorized translator certified in Spanish. There are numerous beaches in Cozumel, including Paradise Beach, which is a Traveler’s Choice winner and has a water playground the whole family will love. Playa Palancar, on the southern tip of the island, is peaceful and has bright water, making it easy to spot starfish.

Activities
Try a scuba excursion through Palancar Reef or the Santa Rose Wall. The island’s pearl farm and dolphin sanctuaries are also a great way to experience Cozumel’s marine life. Catamarans, kayaks, and boat trips are all popular daytime activities. There are also a number of parks and museums if you care to stay on land, including the San Gervasio Mayan site.
Nightlife
When the sun goes down, Havana Bob’s is a popular Cuban cigar bar worth a visit. Or, try one of the many local beach bars for a tropical drink and dancing.
