Language
Spanish is the official language of Cuba; however, there are several other languages spoken across the island.
Currency and Tipping
Cuba has two official currencies: the Cuban convertible peso (CUC) and the national peso. Transactions almost always take place in CUC.
Climate & Beaches
Climate
Visitors can enjoy Cuba all year round with its sub-tropical climate. The rainy season is from May to October and from August to October is the dry season. Between January and April, the weather is cooler with less rainfall.
Beaches
The magnificent beaches and crystal-clear waters make Cayo Santa Maria the perfect spot for taking long, romantic walks, swimming in the sea or just relaxing under the sun. The beaches are home to ancient coral reefs, so it is recommended to bring water shoes and sandals for walking.

With a wide variety of excursions to choose from, guests can explore the beauty of the island by boat, catamaran, or on foot! The largest dolphinarium in Latin America is located near the island and is a must visit for swimming with the dolphins and taking in a sea lion show. To discover the “real” Cuba, head to the Village of Caibarien, where you will find authentic food, drink and culture.

For night time entertainment, the villages of Pueblo La Estrella and Pueblo Las Dunas offer many services such as fine-dining restaurants, bars, discos and cigar lounges.
