Beaches
Auckland’s beaches range from volcanic sand surf spots to sheltered golden bays. Mission Beach is most accessible from the city center and is one of the region’s most popular, with white sand and a lively strip of restaurants and bars to choose from. On the Hauraki Gulf, Oneroa has golden sands and shallow water that’s perfect for swimming. Anchor Bay is a protected nature preserve and feels remote and intimate.
