The temperatures in Atlantic Canada range depending on the location. The average winter temperature in Nova Scotia is 24 degrees Fahrenheit. In spring the average temperature is about 40 degrees F, in summer it is around 60 to 75 degrees F.
Beaches
Atlantic Canada has many magnificent beaches all over the coastline. Martinique Beach is known for its big-wave surfing, while Ingonish Beach has fresh, undisturbed lake water in the Highlands National Park. Whether you're looking to fish, kayak or simply walk along the coast, there are plenty of beaches to choose from.

Atlantic Canada boasts many stunning beaches, as well as plenty of fishing villages worth exploring. Whale-watching is a popular activity, as are sports like surfing, hiking, and kayaking. There are also plenty of worthy tours, including a visit to Anne of Green Gables’ house, Prince Edward Island, or the oldest known European settlement in North America, located in Newfoundland's L'Anse aux Meadows Historic Site.
Nightlife
This vibrant locale has five universities, so there are plenty of young people out on any given night. Try an old-fashioned pub and mingle with locals. If you’re looking for a late night, Halifax has plenty of dance clubs in the city too.
