As the birthplace of democracy and one of Europe’s oldest cities, Athens has plenty to see and do. The Acropolis is world-famous and one of Greece’s most memorable icons. There are also a number of other important temples and historic sites around the city, including the Parthenon and the National Archaeological Museum. If you’re looking to relax, the hot springs of Lake Vouliagmeni have therapeutic volcanic waters.
