For couple planning to get married in the Dominican Republic, an original passport, copy and translation of original birth certificates, and sworn declaration before a notary public are required. Samana weather is tropical and humid with year round sunshine. The temperature is steady around 86 degrees F, with colder temperatures from November to April and warmer temperatures in summer months. Historically most hurricane activity in the Dominican Republic's part of the Caribbean has taken place in the months of August and September.
Beaches
There are dozens of secluded, white-sand beaches to choose from in Samana, including La Playita, Rincon, Moron and Bonita. Cayo Levantado is a short boat ride off the coast and has excellent scuba diving spots and Parc National Los Haitises has mangroves, colorful birds and caves off the shore.

Weddings in Samana immerse you in the charming town, which also has a newly renovated seaside walking promenade for strolling through the many sail and fishing boats.
