Beaches
Beach-going is practically a way of life in Rio de Janeiro, so as one would guess, there’s and there’s quite an impressive assortment of them to choose from. Of course, a trip to Rio isn’t complete without a stop at Ipanema or Copacabana beaches, where people-watching is a competitive (and fun!) sport. There are also a number of more secluded beaches, like Prainha and Arpoador Beach, which are known for great surf conditions.
Activities & Attractions
Activities
Start with an aerial tour of Rio de Janeiro. Whether you hike Sugarloaf Mountain or take a helicopter ride over Christ the Redeemer, this city is impressive and grand from above. Rio is world-famous for its beaches, including Copacabana and Ipanema, which are the see-and-be-seen hotspots of Brazil. Within the city there are a number of stunning theatres, museums, and monasteries to explore filled with cultural treasures. The city is also known for its open-air cafes, so enjoy the great weather and sip a caipirinha, a mojito-styled local drink.
