Climate
Juan Dolio weather is tropical and humid with year round sunshine. The temperature is steady around 86° F, with colder temperatures from November to April and warmer temperatures in summer months. Historically most hurricane activity in the Dominican Republic's part of the Caribbean has taken place in the months of August and September.
Beaches
Juan Dolio beach is the largest beach in the area, with groves of coconut palms and warm Caribbean water. In nearby Santo Domingo and La Romana, there are a number of larger and more populated beaches.

Activities
Unwinding at the local beaches (like Juan Dolio) is the most popular pastime in Juan Dolio, along with boating and snorkeling excursions in the coral reef. There is an 18-hole golf course in the area and a couple of casinos and nice restaurants. If you venture into nearby Santo Domingo or La Romana, there are a number of additional excursions available.
